Visitors will be able to witness and engage Albert Gallatin and James Madison in conversation. Mr. Gallatin was the former Secretary of Treasury in Mr. Jefferson’s Administration and Mr. Madison’s Administration before he was appointed one of the five Peace Commissioners to end the War of 1812, and subsequently to be appointed U.S. Minister to France. Mr. Madison, as you know was very much involved in seeing to the writing, ratification, and implementation the the Constitution of the United States as well as the Bill of Rights and President of the United States for eight years and guiding the country durint the War of 1812. This will be an entertaining and informative experience for the visitor to Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.
